His work ethic, passion and quick witted one liners makes him a an invaluable team member here at Refundid. With a wealth of knowledge and a skill for chewing anyones ear off, Ed kindly jumped at the opportunity to answer some short questions about his fine self.

Enjoy!

When you were younger, what job did you want to do when you grew up?
I think I moved around from wanting to be an artist, carpenter, professional swimmer, professional rugby league player and a fashion label owner. I’ve ticked off one of those (label owner), the rest could still happen…Watch this space
What was your very first job?
Labouring at a photo processing plant back home in Glen Innes. My twin brother and I went in to apply, they asked us to start then and there. It was a new business and one of the only businesses in Australia that printed on anything (think mugs, key rings etc). Leading into Christmas things went crazy and we ended up working 24 hours straight, the money was great at that age and we got free Red Bull. Big win.
Why did you make the move to Refundid?
Having worked in eCom for the past 8 years I was always on the look out for the next big thing. When I heard about Refundid I was immediately interested. I met with Joel and Brad and was so impressed with their vision and the progress they had made in such a short period of time. I also thought the timing of the solution was impeccable. So it was an easy decision to make the move.
What does a typical day look like for you?
We travel a lot so there’s no typical day but when I’m in town - Walk to the office from home (try to beat Brad in). Grab a long black from Liebl, then try everything to get Refundid onto every Australian retailers website as fast as I can.
What is your favourite online store?
Clubbies Prints! My brother and I sell prints as a side hustle. The Incognito Art Show is another project I work on, this year was the first time we sold work online, it was a lot of work but very rewarding. Aside from that I love Betoota Outfitters, Jamoo, Five By Flynn, Miss Double Bay and Hello Sport store.
What’s the culture at Refundid like? Who thrives?
The vision is very clear at Refundid. We want to be the number one refund solution in the world. This means we need to work hard and more importantly closely. This connection means everyone is accepted, valued, and has a sense of belonging.
What’s an item that’s currently sitting in your shopping cart at the moment?
The Marie shirt at Sir The Label…I’ve never bought from them so I might wait until I know I won’t be out of pocket if the sizing isn’t right.
Tell us a purchase you wish you had instantly Refundid?
Everything I wore as a teenager. More specifically a baby blue Calvin Klein shirt, plenty of bold branding and the material felt the same as a rashie.
Besides the retail industry (clothing & accessories), what other industry to you think should offer instant refunds?
The bond for my car hire in Ireland still hasn’t landed in my account. So travel! With customer confidence dropping across the travel industry, particularly flights. I think whichever airline moves to Refundid first will do very well.
Lastly, and it’s a questions everyone is dying to know, what’s your star sign?
I’m a proud Aquarian!
